French Quarter Crib is an detailed illustration of one of the houses in the French Quarters of New Orleans,La. While visiting home years ago, I saw this beautiful house and thought it represented a great example of the architecture of one of the oldest areas in NOLA. I decided to do a "House Portrait" and depict it illustrative while using pen and ink with a bit of watercolor. Color is one of the things that set NOLA architecture apart along with lush vegetation which abounds the city. I give the viewer enough detail to keep their interest and provide a lasting snapshot of the architecture of the French Quarters.
